| Head- large, cubic and solid. Eyes- spread wide apart, oval in shape. Skin around eyes and head tight with few to no wrinkles. Muzzle- 40% of total head. Lips- thick, fleshy with a upside down "v" look. Inside preferably dark in color. Jaws- slight undershot, wide base and strong. Ears- when uncropped far apart and completely hanging. When cropped, cut in triangle shape standing or semi standing. Neck- strong, round, straight and full of muscles. Front Legs- straight as an arrow, powerful with thick bones. Back Legs- straight from front and side, powerful, no spurs and not cow hocked. Body- 20% longer than height at shoulders. Rear is a little higher than shoulders. Gait somewhat round. Tail- high on rear, very strong and gets smaller towards end at hocks. When excited tail is up with very little curl. Hair- short, rough and coarse. Colors- tans, fawns, reds and different shades of brindles. Mask is black and sometimes extends around eyes. 30% or less of white coloring. Height at shoulders- Sires: 24-26 inches, Dams: 22-25 inches. Weight- Sires: 100-150 Lbs., Dams: 90-120 Lbs. |
